About Christina

Christina is passionate about working with people with mental health difficulties. Having studied at The Family institute - formerly at the University of South Wales - she has a first-class honours degree in Systemic Counselling. She frequently undertakes additional training related to mental health and therapeutic approaches to continuously improve her work with clients.

Christina has spent recent years supporting university students in need of help with a vast range of mental health issues. She is particularly dedicated to working with people with eating disorders and has extensive experience in anorexia nervosa. This is an area that she continues to research to enhance her expertise in working with people living with this serious mental illness.

To continue to expand her skills and practice offering, Christina is currently training to provide counselling to children and young people, as well as adults. She has also recently completed training in supporting people with autism and ADHD.

My Philosophy

Systemic counselling is focused on relationships - not just the relationships we have with significant others and key aspects of our lives, but also the relationship we have with ourselves. My approach to therapy is empathetic, compassionate and based on curiosity about what you would like to bring, work on and explore about yourself.

Counselling is a commitment and can be challenging, but a non-judgemental approach is paramount to my work and each client is always treated with the utmost respect.

As an accredited member of the BACP, I abide by the BACP Ethical Framework for Counselling Professionals.
